On October 29, 2026, Greek conceptual fashion label SKiN iT brought the final chapter of its Wonderland trilogy to the runway of Serbia Fashion Week, presenting a dark, cinematic vision of aristocratic rebellion, Victorian references and gothic rock aesthetics.
There are fashion collections that present garments, and there are collections that construct entire worlds. With Wonderland – Chapter III: Rebel Aristocrats: The Void of Time, SKiN iT brings its Wonderland trilogy to a close, transforming the runway into a theatrical encounter between historical references, rebellious identities and dark visual fantasy. Presented on October 29 at Serbia Fashion Week in Novi Sad, the collection marks the concluding chapter of a creative journey that has progressively developed its own visual universe. Under the creative direction of award-winning Greek fashion designer Georgia Chioni, SKiN iT revisits the language of aristocratic dress, not through historical reproduction, but through its reinterpretation as an expression of defiance, individuality and unconventional elegance.
The Aesthetics of Rebellion
At the heart of Rebel Aristocrats lies a compelling contrast: the authority and refinement traditionally associated with aristocratic dress meet the disruptive attitude of rock culture and the expressive intensity of gothic aesthetics.
Victorian influences emerge through silhouettes, theatrical accessories and references to an era in which clothing was closely connected to status, identity and social codes. Yet these historical elements are deliberately displaced from their original context. They encounter the darkness of gothic romanticism, the attitude of rock, and a contemporary vision of femininity that refuses to conform to established expectations.
Black dominates the collection’s visual language, accompanied by metallic accents, deep burgundy and contrasting textures. Glossy surfaces, layered details, dramatic necklines, sculptural headpieces, hats and masks contribute to an aesthetic that feels simultaneously aristocratic and rebellious. The result is not a nostalgic return to the past. It is an alternative interpretation of it, where elegance becomes a form of resistance and historical codes are transformed into instruments of personal expression.
SKiN iT: Fashion Beyond Conventional Boundaries
With its presentation at Serbia Fashion Week, SKiN iT continues to explore fashion as a medium of artistic expression, identity construction and visual communication. The label’s approach moves beyond the conventional relationship between garment and wearer, embracing the theatrical, the unconventional and the transformative. Its design language draws on contrasting cultural references to create a world in which clothing becomes part of a broader artistic statement.
In Wonderland’s final act, the Rebel Aristocrats do not seek to restore a lost era or preserve an established hierarchy. They inhabit their own time, one in which historical elegance is stripped of its conventions and reimagined through rebellion. The Wonderland trilogy ends, but its characters remain: dark, theatrical and unapologetically unconventional.
